Measure a ring you already own

1. Choose a ring that fits the finger you have in mind.
2. Wrap a strip of paper around the inside of the band, mark where the ends meet, then measure the marked length with a ruler. That is the inside circumference.
3. Find the closest measurement in the chart above. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger.

Measure your finger

1. Wrap a strip of paper snugly around the base of your finger and mark where it overlaps.
2. Measure the marked length in millimetres or inches and match it to the chart.
3. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest, and allow a little extra if your knuckle is wider than the base.

How to measure

1. Wrap a piece of string or a soft tape measure around your neck where you would like the necklace to sit.
2. Mark the point where the ends meet and measure that length against a ruler.
3. Match it to the chart above, then pick the size whose adjustable range covers it.

Where each length falls

1. 14 to 16 inches sits close to the base of the neck, like a choker.
2. 16 to 18 inches rests on the collarbone, the most common length.
3. 18 to 20 inches falls just below the collarbone and layers well over a neckline.

How to measure your wrist

1. Wrap a soft tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist, just below the wrist bone.
2. Keep it snug but not tight, then mark where the ends meet and measure the length.
3. Choose the size closest to that measurement. If you prefer a looser fit, go up one size.

Reading the measurements

1. Hoops are measured by outer diameter, the full width of the hoop from edge to edge.
2. Studs are measured across the widest point of the front, not including the post.
3. Drop earrings are measured from the top of the ear wire to the lowest point of the design.

Singles and pairs

1. Where a style offers Single or Pair, Single is one earring and Pair is two.
2. Choose Single if you are building a mixed or stacked ear.
